On 24th January 2019, there was a Press Conference at University of Tsukuba, regarding their project launch, “The Nippon Foundation Central Asia-Japan Human Resousrce Development Project”. Mr. Makoto Wada, Project Director and Mr. James Huffman, Project Manager from The Nippon Foundation, and Kyoko Vrboski, Chairperson of Japan Central Asia Friendship Association (JACAFA), participated to the conference.
It’s main goals are to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) , and develop human resources who can contribute to the solution for the issues in Central Asian countries by the University of Tsukuba, associating with The Nippon Foundation and Japan Central Asia Friendship Association (JACAFA).
JACAFA will continue to associate with University of Tsukuba by implementing 1) Japan visit study at the university, 2) Career Round Table and 3) Japan Central Asia Exchange Forum. The University of Tsukuba also launched “Special Program in Japanese and Eurasian Studies” Scholarship Program.
