The JACAFA “Skill Up Seminar” based on interactive sessions was aimed to improve the network’s members’ skills and knowledge to implement the small seized projects which benefit the betterment and development of their society at the local level. The Skill up Seminar mainly addressed the capacity building issues that are vital for all members of the Network for building the human resources accordingly that are able to cooperate and compete in this modern environment.
This summary captures 2 days program of presentations and interactive sessions of the Skill up Seminar which took place on October 18-19, Bishkek, Kirgizstan.
The Skill up Seminar brought together ___ JACAFA’s network members from Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Scholarship recipients from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
The Skill up Seminar officially started with the opening remarks from Kyoko Vrboski, Chairmen of JACAFA and Greetings from the Nippon Foundation Executive Director Mr. Yuji Mori. Afterward of the self-introduction of JACAFA Alumni Members and TNF JACAFA Scholarship Recipients, James Huffman conducted training on Facilitation Skills: Focused Conversation. Furthermore, Mr. James Huffman proceeds the training with Facilitation Skills: Consensus building process. The awarding ceremony of the TNF Scholarship recipients by Mr. Yuji was part of the agenda after the completion of the training sessions. The Skill up Seminar continued with the following presentations of the JACAF Alumni:

Moreover, it should be noted that the JACAFA Alumni and TNF Scholarship recipients participated in the Regional Institute of Central Asia (RICA) Round Table “Central Asian Mass Media in the 21st Century”.
