I On November 26, 2022, the Annual The Nippon Foundation and JACAFA Foundation Scholarship Awarding Ceremony has been organized in Tashkent to award new scholarship recipient of JACAFA Foundation with JACAFA Scholarship Program and deliver certificates.

The event started with the Opening speech of Kyoko Vrboski, the Chairperson of JACAFA Foundation. Kyoko Vrboski welcomed all participants and guests of the Annual The Nippon Foundation and JACAFA Foundation Scholarship Awarding Ceremony and stated about the importance of supporting young, talented students by providing scholarship and organizing conferences to develop international cooprtation between Japan and Central Asian countries and Azarbaijan.
After the speech of Kyoko Vrboski self introduction part of the event was conducted. Each participant made self introduction and spoke about the studies, work and current activities.
JACAFA Alumni from Uzbekistan Doniyor Makhmudov made a presentation about Japan Visit Program and shared information about his experience of participating in this unique program for JACAFA alumnus. He stated that the visit to the HQ of the Nippon Foundation and meeting with the Chairperson of the organization Mr. Sasakawa was one of the important and memorable moments of the program. Moreover, during the JVP program the fellows visited Tsukuba University to participate in the Japan Central Asia Exchange Forum and met with the NipCA fellows from Central Asian countries.
JACAFA Alumni from Tajikistan, Mr. Abdullo Kurbanov, CEO & Founder of Alif Bank (Tajikistan) made very motivational speech and inspired JACAFA Fellows to work hard to achieve their goals and not afraid to make mistakes, as failure can lead to success.
Furthermore, the Director of JACAFA Founcation, Saso Vrboski made an opening remarks about the uniqueness of JACAFA scholarship program and expressed gratitude to the representatives of the Nippon Foundation for supporting JACAFA Foundation.
One of the highlights of the event was the speech of Mr. Takeju Ogata, the President of The Nippon Foundation. In his speech Mr. Ogata stated about the mission of the organization and social innovation which leads to the development of human resources in developing countries.
After the speech the most importante part of the event, the Annual JACAFA TNF Scholarship Awarding Ceremony has been organized. Each scholarship recipient received certificate from the Mr. Takeju Ogata and Kyoko Vrboski.
At the dinner, the culture of Central Asia was introduced to the representatives of The Nippon Foundation and JACAFA fellows.
JACAFA Fellows from Azarbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan showed performance about their culture, traditions and presentations about their countries. Moreover, professional dance team from Uzbekistan danced to the traditional Uzbek songs in traditional clothing to represent national dance of Uzbekistan.
After the performances all participants of the event danced to the traditional songs of Central Asian countries.
JACAFA Foundation supports students in Central Asian countries and Azarbaijan by providing scholarships, as well as supports in their development by organizing conferences, providing grants for social projects and enhancing friendship between Japan and Central Asian countries and Azarbaijan.
The JACAFA Scholarship Program creates the network of talented youngsters who are dedicated to make positive impact to their country and strengthen cooperation with Japan.
